GOVERNMENT VETERINARY SERVICES (GVS) AT THE LONDON VET SHOW 2025

The Government Veterinary Services (GVS) are really excited to be exhibiting at the London Vet Show on Thursday 20th and Friday 21st November. We will be on stand Q75, so do stop by to say "hi" and learn more about what we do.

The Government Veterinary Services, led by UK Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) Christine Middlemiss, represents the community of vets working across government. It provides a community for all government vets, from those conducting inspections and ensuring our food is safe to eat, disease control, and safeguarding animal health and welfare.

They work in a number of government departments and agencies, such as the Food Standards Agency (FSA), The Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) and the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) as well as the devolved governments in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland

This year, we are sharing our stand with the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA). Visit our joint stand to explore what a career in GVS could look like for you — and get inspired to start your own Government Veterinary Story.
