The Poultry Health and Welfare Group is holding a webinar on 20 October 2020 which aims to raise awareness of the risks of avian influenza.
There is an excellent line up of speakers for the event including the UK Chief Veterinary Officer, The Poultry Club of GB, Defra and the British Poultry Council Veterinary Advisor to name but a few.
Some of the topics being covered include; general disease update and risk levels to the UK, biosecurity, contingency planning, spotting the signs of disease, early reporting of disease, action taken by government when disease is confirmed, compensation and the impact of avian influenza on the wider commercial industry and international trade.
This is an excellent opportunity to find more about this significant disease and how government and and the poultry industry are working to prevent potential outbreaks and reduce any spread of the disease should one occur.
Registrations are now open and you can register by using this zoom link.
You can also find out more information about avian influenza on the UK CVO's twitter page.
