Hello Readers!
This Saturday 25th April is the 36th Annual World Veterinary Association (WVA) Congress. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the conference will be hosted as a webinar. The event is being hosted in New Zealand to a worldwide audience. Tickets can be found on the event’s website.
There will be over 50 speakers presenting on topics such as international government veterinary work, microbiology & disease control and even aquatic veterinary medicine.
One of the highlights of the congress will be the 7th WVA Global One Health Summit, which is free to attend (and relevant to many for veterinary CPD). The focus of this year’s summit is: Climate Change and its Future Impact on Disease Burdens, Food Security, and the Economy and will have talks on a number of subjects such as, the effect of climate change on the livestock sector and food borne diseases. You can register on the event’s website.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain some CPD and learn about some of the varied work completed in the profession and give yourself something interesting to do during the lockdown period! Even better, you will be able to continue to watch this six months after the webinar is made available.
