ACRE provides a vital, statutory function in advising the UK Government, and the countries of Northern Ireland, Wales, and Scotland on the potential risks to human health and the environment from the release of genetically modified organisms (GMO) for research and marketing. ACRE needs a veterinary expert to contribute to its advice on GMO trial applications and evaluating new research findings.
